It was sometime in my final year of IIT Bombay that I started dreaming about writing a book. But getting started was the most difficult part as I was always ready with an excuse to avoid it. Luckily, I met “Mili” who was then a faculty in Institute of Hotel Management at Bhopal. She was just an acquaintance but on hearing my dream, she did all the hard work to get me started. For hours on phone, she would critically analyze the story. Her college students were always excited to attend her lecture, but on a very regular basis she bunked her lectures just to listen to the manuscript. As my book progressed, so did our relationship. Soon we became a really good friend and today she is my lawfully wedded wife.

She sacrificed so many weekends just to let me do what I really wanted to. It was her belief in me that today I’m able to write a full-fledged novel. No matter how many times I thank her, no matter what I say and write, I won’t be able to return the favor and support I got from her.
